We are here, settled in so to speak. Thank you all for your kind emails and suport for our move. We have the greatest friends in Dawn and Don who loaded our furniture in the Uhaul in Ontario for nothing more than a couple used wooden lawn chairs and a few dirty planter pots.
Now that is a true friend!
Thanks to my mom that kept me awake/Moose and Kamakazi Deer lookout for the long haul 16 hour drives we did in Northern Ontario and through to Regina. Forever will she be seeing moose signs fly by her as she falls asleep at night.
The house is packed, Our lives in boxes.
We’ve said our goodbyes and hugged all our friends.
It started with a dream, a desire for change and a need for a fresh slate.
The decision was made what seems like years ago, but it was only months.
We scoured and waited for a posting for C to apply, we packed the wagon with the pupheads and took them on their longest car ride ever. We held our breath waiting for C’s test results, we held it again when C flew out to his interview, We kept holding it until my transfer was confirmed. We scoured the internet for a place to hang our hats and snuggle with the pooches.. We sent our amazing real estate agent across the province seeking a suitable place. We kept our fingers crossed, hoping we would get the place we wanted. And we did, we got it all.
We’ll see you where dreams do come true.
If you were to look into my tummy right now, I swear, this is what you would see. Its good, its bad, its happy its sad. well not quite. Its excitement, but its fear. Moving day is the Day after tomorrow, and besides the packing of just about everything left, there isn’t much left. We have to run to lawyers, and fax courier and close on both homes while we are out here in Ontario, and then on the road somewhere we will fax and close on the house out West. Everytime I look somewhere I see more stuff to pack. How the Fuck did we manage to gather soo much crap?
